At Ascend Recovery Center, we understand that navigating the financial aspects of substance abuse and mental health treatment can be overwhelming. One of the most common questions we receive is whether addiction rehab treatment is covered by insurance. The good news is that many health insurance plans do provide coverage for substance use disorder treatment, helping reduce the financial burden of recovery. Here’s what you need to know about insurance coverage for addiction rehab treatment.
At Ascend Recovery Center, the admission process is straightforward and designed to provide immediate support to those in need. The first step is a confidential consultation where we gather information about your medical history, substance use, and personal circumstances. This allows us to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. After the assessment, our team will guide you through the next steps, including detox if necessary, and help you prepare for your journey toward recovery. Our goal is to make the admission process as seamless and compassionate as possible, ensuring that you feel supported every step of the way.
We offer several levels of care so you can get the right amount of support: medical detox, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), standard outpatient, and Virtual IOP. Each one is designed for a different stage of recovery, from stabilization to long-term support.
You don’t have to decide alone. We’ll ask about your symptoms, safety, substance use, mental health, and home situation. From there, we’ll recommend the least intensive level of care that still keeps you safe and supported here in New Mexico.
PHP is a full-day program with more structure and support, similar to a step below inpatient care. IOP meets fewer hours per week and is more flexible, so you can often work or go to school. Both include therapy, groups, and psychiatric support.
Often, yes. Many people in IOP, outpatient, or Virtual IOP continue their jobs or classes while getting care. PHP is more time-intensive, but some employers and schools in New Mexico will work with you when they know you’re getting help.
Virtual IOP lets you attend therapy groups and individual sessions online from home, anywhere in New Mexico. It’s a good option if you have transportation barriers, live far from treatment centers, or need more flexibility while still receiving structured support.
Most insurance plans cover at least some of the cost for detox, PHP, IOP, outpatient, or Virtual IOP. We’ll verify your benefits, explain what’s covered, and review any out-of-pocket costs before you start so there are no surprises.
The cost of rehab can vary depending on factors such as the type of treatment, the length of stay, the level of care required, and the specific services provided. Inpatient programs generally cost more than outpatient services due to the round-the-clock care, medical supervision, and therapies offered. We offer flexible payment options, work with insurance providers, and provide financial assistance to help ensure that treatment is within reach for those seeking help. We suggest reviewing your insurance policy or calling us at (888) 792-5442.
