Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website comfortably. Here is our commitment to accessibility and how to reach us if something is not working.

Ascend Recovery Center is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that people who are seeking help for themselves or a loved one should be able to find the information they need without barriers. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to improve the experience for all visitors.

Our commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities. We measure our work against these standards and treat them as our baseline rather than our ceiling.

Accessibility features we provide

We have built and continue to refine this site with the following features in mind.

  • Semantic HTML and clear heading structure so screen readers can navigate pages logically
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images
  • Keyboard access to interactive elements, so a mouse is not required
  • Visible focus indicators that show the current location on the page
  • Color contrast chosen to keep text readable
  • Descriptive link text that makes sense out of context
  • Support for resizing text and zooming without breaking the layout
  • Respect for reduced motion preferences set in the browser or device

Ongoing testing and improvement

We review new and updated pages against our accessibility goals and use both automated tools and manual checks. Because the web and our content change over time, we treat accessibility as continuous work. If an automated tool or an assistive technology reveals an issue, we prioritize fixing it.

Third-party content

Some content or features on this site may be provided by third parties, such as embedded maps or forms. We do not always control the accessibility of third-party content, but we choose vendors thoughtfully and will help visitors access the information another way if a third-party element creates a barrier.

How to report an accessibility barrier

If a visitor has trouble using any part of this website, or needs information in a different format, please tell us. Feedback helps us find and fix problems. When contacting us, it helps to include the page address, a description of the problem, and the browser or assistive technology in use, though none of that is required.

Getting help another way

If any content on this site is not accessible, we are happy to provide the same information by phone or email. Reaching our team should never depend on a single format. Whatever brings someone here, we will help them get the answers they need.
