Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect on this website, how we use it, and the choices clients have. Client privacy matters to us.

Ascend Recovery Center respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect through ascendrecoverycenternm.com, how we use and protect it, and the choices clients have about their information. It applies to this website only. The way we handle protected health information for people in our care is described separately in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

By using this website, users agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If a user does not agree with this policy, they should not use the site.

Information we collect

We collect two general kinds of information. The first is information clients give us directly. The second is information that is gathered automatically as they browse.

  • Information clients provide: when a client completes a contact form, requests an insurance verification, or emails us, we collect the details they choose to share, such as their name, phone number, email address, and any message they write.
  • Information collected automatically: like most websites, we use analytics tools that record technical details such as the browser type, device, general location, the pages viewed, and how the visitor arrived at the site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored by the browser that help the site function and help us understand how visitors use it.

How we use client information

We use the information we collect to respond to clients, to operate and improve this website, and to understand how people find and use our services. We do not sell personal information.

  • To respond to questions, calls, and form submissions
  • To verify insurance benefits when a client asks us to
  • To measure and improve the performance and content of the site
  • To protect the security and integrity of our systems
  • To meet legal, regulatory, and accreditation obligations

Third parties and service providers

We work with trusted service providers who help us run this website, such as web hosting and analytics vendors. These providers may process information on our behalf, and they are expected to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our clients, staff, and organization.

One category is treated differently: mobile phone numbers and SMS consent. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. See the SMS and text messaging section below for details.

SMS and text messaging

When a person provides a mobile number and checks the SMS consent box on a form on this site, they opt in to receive text messages (SMS) from Ascend Recovery Center. These may include admissions and intake messages, appointment reminders and scheduling, insurance verification updates, and treatment-related or informational messages. Opting in is optional and is never a condition of admission, treatment, or any purchase.

SMS opt-in data, mobile phone numbers, and consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This information is used only to send the messages the person consented to receive and to support their care with us. We record the consent, the consent language shown, and a timestamp as proof of opt-in.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. A person may reply STOP at any time to opt out, or reply HELP for help. Full SMS terms are in our Terms of Service.

Cookies and client choices

Users can control cookies through their browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Please note that turning off some cookies may affect how parts of the site function. Analytics cookies help us understand aggregate usage and are not used to identify anyone personally.

Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If a user's browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information, where that applies. Users do not need to do anything else for this signal to be recognized.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If someone believes a child has provided information through this site, they should contact us so we can remove it.
